The area is calm but the residence is still close to the Caron shopping centre, the sports centre and the other amenities of the resort. There is a nursery and a children's play area in from of the residence. The residence also boasts a bar, a sports shop and a restaurant. Val Thorens is part of the Three Valleys ski area.
